The first 8 songs of this last Life of Agony album are recorded live and unplugged at the Lowlands festival in 1997. Song 9 ('Other side of the river') is a remix, and songs 10 to 15 are live songs, but aren't unplugged at all. So the title of this record might be a little misleading. And for me counts, the best part of the album aren't the unplugged songs. But hey, we have to do with one of the best metal bands of the nineties. And this album makes clear it's a real loss that this band have split up. Because songs like 'River Runs Red', 'Let's pretend', 'Respect' and 'This Time' are classics, whether played live or unplugged. But how tragic the loss of this band is, I guess this album is a must-have for real fans only, who can't get enough of both Life of Agony and their charismatic frontman Keith Caputo. Not for me, as I just keep true to the good old times of 'River Runs Red'. Things would never be the same again...
