Recently we received the debut album of King Me which was released by themselves. This Dutch band makes music which I think is best described as "the darker side of happiness". Just listen to some Will Oldham, Velvet Underground or Songs Ohia records to know what I mean. Or better, try to get your hands on King me's album. The songs vary from slow melancholic songs to dark uptempo tracks. Sometimes a bit too much string arrangements in the songs for us, but overall a vary nice debut album. The album leaves us with a warm "living room" feeling, cosy in the cold winterdays.
