Stonerrock is as good as dead. All those bands riffing and spacing and jamming, but they all forget to write some good songs. I still have to hear a good stonerrockalbum since 'Chrome' from Celestial Season. Is their follow-up the next good stoneralbum? The answer is no. That doesn't mean this album isn't good, not at all. They simply don't play stonerrock anymore, and we all can be verry happy about that. They've created an album with a beautiful, warm rocksound, but the most important thing is their growth in the compositions. Compact, very melodic, very well-played and arranged. No longer can they be solely compared to Kyuss; influences from Mogwai, Motorpsycho and a bit of Alice in Chains are hearable but never take over their own rich Celestial rocksound. Almost every song is worth mentioning, but I'll limit myself to Outshine and All Wrong, two fantastic songs with very good violin or theremin arrangements. And let's not forget Cyril Krutz's voice: his progression is enormous. The band is currently negotiating with labels to release the album in Europe, USA and Japan (they released it on their own label here in Holland).
