Is there anything depreciative that I could possibly utter about this wonderful remix 3-tracker, when it brings about visions of devilishly funky mariachis in my head on Calexico's 'Crystal Frontier', that sounds like Basement Jaxx building a ranch party if they wouldn't have deviated into the public-friendly wash-off of their last album. 'Face Down' by Airlock swims in the same quiet Latin-pointed waves where the Compost's GlŸklich-series takes its dives in and its haunting and nostalgic female vocal makes you long for a blazing sunset on the coasts of South-America. Mister Swartenbroeckx even manages to marry the night swept vocal heaven of the Lais girls with the newest lounge sounds. Has sadness ever brought a smile on your face? No? Then this might be your occasion. Rise to it.
