Baby Woodrose | Never Coming Back

Denmark finally has its very own garage sensation.

Denmark has been running a bit behind in the current Scandinavian garage explosion, even though it's home to Bad Afro, the label that - together with Burning Heart - is responsible for the most interesting releases from the scene. Maybe it's because they lack the big garages needed for parking all of those Volvos and Saabs.

So when Baby Woodrose's self-released Blows Your Mind came out last year, and Denmark finally had its very own garage sensation, they were immediately signed by Bad Afro. As a warm-up for their first full-length album on that label, the track Never Coming Back has been released as a single, with My Flash On You as the B-side.

The A-side is a slow psychedelic monster with a dark undercurrent, a sort of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida without the organ and the boring drum solo. My Flash On You is more of a straightforward party track, not as good as Never Coming Back, but still creating anticipation for the album.

If you're interested in the single, you have to be fast, because it is limited to 500 copies. Those who are too late or prefer digital over analogue can also download Never Coming Back from the Bad Afro website.
