RoadNotes: Idlewild

Some weeks back Scottish heros Idlewild cruised Europe to spread the word on their catchy, but spikey popsongs and to support the release of their latest thing called '100 Broken Windows'. While being on the road, frontman Roddy Woomble hooked himself up to the Internet and managed to get some words on screen. See here, the results...

4 dutch dates test actually, despite what some might think looking at 60 people song by song getting more and more absorbed into your ideas is a very good experience.
I think it did the 4/5 of us alot of good. it's the only country (Holland) that we've played a few times in, outside of the UK. Jeremy and I sat by a canal and drunk coffee, I felt like a rotten dh lawrence.
We're supporting muse now, in France and Germany. They have a good song called 'muscle museum', they can all play their instruments very well. Last night in strasbourg I baptized a boy with noise. I am not a driven man, but it would be so good to find people in these countries to Idlewild.

Thats a real reason.
We're back in scotland now after what feels like a lot longer than 1 month, listening to The Fall, looking at a very nice view.
Ten concerts with Muse later all i know is that Matthew the singer likes a slice of lemon in his tea. They're a pretty good live band, although I've seen Jeff Buckley and know who can do it better, still the french love them.
in dijon we blessed the assembled with noise painting, in Hamburg we treated the audience with utter disdain and in Stuttgart I saw a rat.
