Well brothers and sisters, formally known band xDisciplex is back. Due another band called Disciple a small reincarnation has taken place some time ago. Known as xDisciplex A.D. they released a new album. After four releases since 1995 starting with 'Lantern EP', 'Scarab', Imitation Of Love' and 'No Blood No Altar Now' they recently put something new on the market. This album entitled 'Heaven & Hell' (also available on vinyl) belongs to the real heavy stuff. I would say these guys are between heaven and hell. They're still alive and on top of the hardcore scene. And I think the brothers Dan and Davey Quiggle, Joe, Neil and Adam aren't going to give that proud away. During 11 tracks on 'Heaven & Hell' you see what hardcore is all about. I can't name any song, which doesn't belong to my favourites. They already mentioned it in xDisciplex A.D. biography (see official homepage) and I will quote it right here; 'Even in your home xDisciplex A.D. will have you starting a pit'. And there is no doubt about that one. These guys are fully trained to communicate with each other in even a musically way. You can recognise this in hard stappin' breaks that appear in almost all songs. Also heavy drums and fast guitar riffs are put together in some special way with a tremendous hoarse voice. Simply described as brutal noize. xDisciplex A.D.'s 'Heaven & Hell' is produced with Jason Kanter and Tim Gilles who is also responsible for bands like Agnostic Front and Madball. This could be a reason the album does remind me of Madball. It's recognizable in 'All Or Nothing' and 'My Own Way'. But for all those who have respect for Madball and grieve because they have split up should definitely gonna love this one.
