Will Haven's second album 'WHVN' sounds like a radio station; an idea of producer Eric Stenman. It is said that Chino from Deftones and Max Cavalera are big fans from this band from Sacramento. Can be. I must admit that this album is a good attempt from Will Haven. It's a good album, but on the whole 'WHVN' sounds a little superficial. Most striking song is 'I have seen my fate (appliance remix)', a song with industrial elements. I would have liked to hear more from that kind of songs on the album. The rest of the songs remind me of Deftones and Earthtone 9. Especially Grady Avenell's voice sometimes reminds me of Earthtone 9. But Earthtone 9 released the best album of 1999, Will Haven only released a solid album. Maybe their next attempt will become 'an album of the year'. These guys have it in them...it's just a matter of time.
