As if remixing Kraftwerk wasn't enough to send us into the high heavens, the record that we've been expecting for years now is finally there: the follow-up to the best series of 12"'s UR has ever released. Some 7 years after Galaxy to Galaxy, Mad Mike is back with another spacefunk vengeance that is, I feel rather inclined to stress this, ABSOLUTELY indispensable for your record collection. The new track 'Timeline' is another beyond-flawless Parliament&Funkadelic-goes-electro assault that should enhance and entrance dancefloors from here to eternity and naturally is linked in atmosphere and sound to classics like 'Jupiter Jazz' and 'Journey of the Dragon'. On the flip 4 Hero get all breaky-and-bouncy with 'Amazon' (as you ought to know from the acclaimed World2World-ep, now already more than 8 years ago) and transform the untouchable extatic original into a meditative shamanical journey through their own atmospheric universe of beyond-drum'n'bass rhythms and breaks. Of course it doesn't come near the original for lightyears, but mind you: even a certified genius like Derrick May couldn't improve on the 'Jaguar', so I wouldn't consider this an insult, now would I? Pure bliss from the only technolabel on planet earth that should be considered a standard of its own. And on top of such meticulous beauty its serial number is 2001. If you do not buy this you are a fool.
