When the cream of the German-Austrian lounge scene gets a chance to remix an album by G-Stone act Tosca you'd expect to get an album that's nothing less then essential. Alas, not so in the case of 'Suzuki in dub'. The original tracks are beauties and most of the artists who reworked them on this album already proved their skill. But this cd is nothing more than a disappointment. First of all there's the fact that there are not less than four remixes of 'Busenfreund' and three of 'Annanas', which is a bit of a killer for variety. On the other hand quite a few of the artists didn't seem to have their most inspiring moment. There are exceptions, like Jurgen Nussbaum and Sasha Crnornja, not exactly the most famous of the contributors on this cd. Acts like Burnt Friedman, Walkner.Moestl and dZihan&kamien deliver nice tracks for the fans, but nthing we haven't heard before.
