Remix albums with up to ten reworks of one killer track. It's never wrong to be a bit sceptical about such releases, to say the least. A 12'' ep with two or three reworks is in most of the cases more than enough. There are a few exceptions though. Just think about that excellent Tosca 'Fuck Dub' ep from a few years back. Now Tosca (or should I say G-Stone) is at it again. And it must be said: 'Honey' is a killer track. The rollin', deep bassline really wrecks havoc and is one of the best Tosca tracks ever, right up there with 'Fuck Dub' and 'Chocolate Elvis'. But is this remix album worth every penny of your hard earned money? Well, if you're planning on sitting at home listening to fourteen different versions of the same song, you might want to think twice about it. If you consider this album a dj tool, which basically it is, the answer is yes! Go out and run to your music dealer and make yourself happy, because there's some really nice stuff on this one. Just listen to the dub version by Markus Kienzl (Sofa Surfers) that's used for the sexy videoclip. But it seems like every contributor is in top form. Just check the Faze Action rework, the excellent Kieser Velten dub version or the two Supatone remixes. This is the Vienna dub sound at its best!
