Okay, this album has already been released a few months ago. But it's still worth writing a review about. With this album The Workhorse Movement wants to pay tribute to those bands (or 'pioneers') that paved the ways for them; like Bob Marley (in the song 'Feel like Bob Marley') and Black Sabbath (in the song 'Keep the Sabbath dream alive'). So it isn't strange that this album is called 'Sons of the pioneers'. Neither is it strange that influences of the Workhorse Movement range from Black Sabbath to Bob Marley. However, the album doesn't sound as an 'old' album, as there's a typical nineties feel through all the songs. This is partly due to the singing of 'rappers' Cornbread and Myron. The result is a very alternating album, with stonerrock-songs as 'Beotch' and rapmetal-songs such as 'Motown'. Check it out; it's worth it!
