The Street Walkin' Cheetahs release an album called 'Waiting For The Death Of My Generation' on Munster Records. Guess what it sounds like. No idea? Let me help you, because obviously you suffer from some kind of brain damage. The first song of the album is called 'Right To Rock' and the second 'Future Lost'.
By now you must have the idea. That doesn't mean The Street Walkin' Cheetahs are entirely predictable. How many punk 'n' roll songs do you know that manage to successfully incorporate a sitar? Yet that's exactly what SWC do on 'No More'. And since the album was produced by Moog Cookbook and Air touring band member Brian Kehew there's also some vintage analogue synthesizer sounds in 'Automatic'. And again it works. This band knows how be poppy and still keep rockin' at the same time. Probably not every punk will be charmed by the glam vibe that hangs over this album (Michael Monroe is one of the people thanked by the band!), but for those who are not phobic to melody and horn arrangements 'Waiting For The Death Of My Generation' is an excellent choice that proves that pop + punk does not necessarily equal Blink 182.
