In spite of these dead threats, Burning Heart keeps releasing records by militant commie-rockers The (International) Noise Conspiracy (maybe they are very careful when handling their mail). This time it concerns the international re-release of a collection of early singles. The First Conspiracy shows a band that knows where it wants to go, but still doesn't quite know how to get there. The stripped-down sound is lacking in low-end, and everything sounds still too neat, lacking the chaotic energy of Survival Sickness and A New Morning, Changing Weather. The basics are already there, however, as showcased in tracks like T.I.M.E.B.O.M.B. and The Black Mask. All in all, a good-enough album to lend support to the band by downloading it from the Internet.
