The Advent thank most of their fame from their merciless techno tracks, with pounding four-to-the-floor beats. But that's not all Cisco Ferreira and Colin McBean were up to during all these years. A substantial share of their output consists of pure uncut electro. This album on Dj Hell's label International Deejay Gigolos compiles the best of the Advent's electro releases in the last six years. Add to that a couple of new tracks and you get quite an exciting ride for you money. Old skool electro headz are warned though. It's electro alright, but it's got the Advent's signature written all over it, making most of the tracks the same kind of pure adrenaline experience as the techno releases from the duo. Just take a listen to classics like 'Kombination True' or 'Wasper', tracks that'll give even the most chilled-out weedhead a heartbeat of +180. Or try 'Stassis', where the relentless cymbals, almost unhearable at first, keep getting more dominant and frantic. The new tracks aren't all as good as the older stuff, but if you're into the Advent sound, you can finally get your hands on some of their best tracks from completely deleted Kombination Research releases.
