From the brute noise eruptions with a melodic edge of the Cords to the widespread pop with a light electronic tough of Telefunk is a big step. But it seems like Arnoudt and Simone have adapted well to their new musical life. Their debut 'Busy Doing Nothing' did sound hesitating. 'Côte Sauvage', on the other hand, is a mature album with some pretty good songs on it. With the exception of some used electronic instruments, this second Telefunk album reminds of classic pop made by PJ Harvey and melancholic guitar pop by the Walkabouts. All times quality music. Let's hope Arnoudt and Simone have more luck with Telefunk then with the undervalued Cords.
