Although he is more famous for his dance-floor techno, Susumu Yokota also knows how to evoke smooth landscapes. Something for his fans after they return home after a night out clubbing? I guess so if they are need of some soothing sounds.
After a mere 500 copies were available in Japan, Magic Thread is now available in Europe. Although not in your face, Magic Thread is subtler in the way it infiltrates your room. Minimalistic and dreamlike layers which slowly take over the roomºs atmosphere with warm bubbly synthesizers and a little static. This is techno that doesnºt demand close attention but it does take hold of your conscious in a subtle way. Deliciously mood-altering music.
