Slowly, life will end, due to anger and hate, but in turn, it will make room for a new generation. Emocore is having its enormous breakthrough in this new millennium, according to the prophecy. Stillwell, formerly known as Gulliver, strikes with their highly keen emo on their first full length album Filling Up The Room. Throughout the fifty minutes of pure playing time, you'll get overwhelmed by dark melodies and unexpected breaks that create an extraordinary atmosphere which reminded me of bands like Forstella Ford and With Arms Still Empty. The surprising part of Stillwell is the moaning voice of lead singer Keez, instead of the horror that is usually the trademark of emo-post-hardcore bands.
Altogether, it stabs you right through the heart, without any regrets. Filling Up The Room is, therefore, a real fascinating album that will definitely stir up old memories.
