Come on! Come on! These are the first lyrics to the Step Kings' album 'Let's get it on!'. This album has been released through Roadrunner Records, the home of bands like Machinehead, Coal Chamber and Slipknot. But don't expect a sound similar to one of the bands mentioned above. Although the Step Kings have been influenced by many styles, it's definitely hardcore that influenced them most. Songs like 'Vibe' and the fucked-up Pink Floyd cover 'Another Brick in the Wall' can easily become real anthems, when played live. Bassplayer Bob takes care of the heavy part of the vocals, while guitarist Fern takes care of the melodic part of the vocals, which is a nice combination to listen to. Machine (White Zombie, Coal Chamber) was responsible for the production of the album, and he did his job very well. But, although everything sounds well, I'm afraid this band won't become as big as their Roadrunner-colleagues. But hey, perhaps this band doesn't even want it or need it...
