'Here Comes Death' is Speedealer's sophmore album, and is now being re-released by Palm, because after it
is initial release in 1999 the company that originally released it went bankrupt. And the album is
certainly good enough to be rescued from bankruptcy limbo.
Speedealer basically plays melodic trash-metal, with a sound somewhere between classic Bay Area style and
fellow statemen Pantera. Only Speedealer strip it down and punk it up to the level where they can put 17
songs in 37 minutes. And with closing instrumental 'California Tumbles Into The Ocean' clocking in at
over 7 minutes, this means the other songs are sometimes less than a minute long. These are never just
sonic outbursts however, but real and often damn good songs, with an intro, choruses and guitar solos.
They only tend to end a little abruptly sometimes.
Speedealer's biggest selling point is their groove. Most trash-metal bands have a machine sound that
numbs you down after a while, but Speedealer manage to be ultra-heavy and keep a swing at the same time.
Highlights of the album include 'Death', 'No More', '1:50 AM' and 'We Are Diseased'. And the real new
album is coming soon, so that'll probably another load of classics that won't make the two minute mark.
