These stoner guys, hailing from Boston, couldn't have thought of a better title for this album. 'Rawk n' Roll' is one big ode to bad ass rock! This album counts 16 tracks and it's currently only available on vinyl, it will take a few months before it's also offered on cd. It's Roadsaw's third full length and the first without Darryl Shepherd on guitar, who once left Slapshot to join Roadsaw, but now has given up Roadsaw to form Milligram, another great band. But he's been replaced by Ian Ross and he completed, according to Roadsaw in an interview with The Kinda Muzik You Like, 'the best line-up ever'. On this album Roadsaw rocks at least as hard as on Nationwide, their former great album, but this time blues influences are more obvious and that's an enrichment. I really dig the up-tempo rockers like for example opening track 'Right On Through' and 'Buried Alive', but also a doom styled song like 'Hoof' belongs to my favourites. With 'Rawk n' Roll' Roadsaw demonstrates what stonerrock should be like. Find it out for yourselves. So you can wait till the album is also available on cd, or you buy it now on vinyl, and if you're really fast (like I've been) you can get one of the copies on transparent purple(!) vinyl.
