The River City Rebels are a band with the average age of 19 and consist of seven band members. The band was formed in September of 1997. And after several early line-up changes, 3 of the original members remained, and are now accompanied by the second generation of members. Although this is a band with very young members, you wouldn't say that if you listen to this CD. Most starting punk bands are a clone of one of the favorite bands from the band members. But because all the members listen to different kind of music styles, the sound is very diverse. Resulting in brutal songs with punk/hardcore influences such as "Army Boy" or "Here or to go", or the acoustic song "Stars and Stripes". They also have a dual horn section, which give them an edge on other punk bands. This CD was recorded, mixed and produced by Jim Segall who has also produced bands such as Dropkick Murphy's, Blood for Blood and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. And if you like one of the above bands you'll probably gonna love the River City Rebels too.
