Although every track rides the nu-electro wave, there is enough variation from all the players to file this as a bookmark release. The original is a sublime piece of electro-trance with the usual Reese influences and a load of Eighties inspired sounds. With his take Handieman Maurice seems to file an application for scoring a Manga, thereby letting in gentle Daft Punk influences, while keeping enough of the original intact. The best remix comes from Bastian, who applies the same electrofunk template but with slightly more rocking follow-up adding a couple of engaging breakdowns to bring in that extra millennial funk. The works! Alden Tyrell nicks an old Derrick May in order to lure us on the dance floor with percussive electro-disco, thereby wrapping things up with kind aid of a completely over-the-top eighties-disco effects machine. Splendid work, Gentlemen!
