Good Lord.....kinky CD I got here, dogs sniffing each others asses and on the backside of the album a man having the best time of his life. Yep, I love these guys of Pulley. A long time ago I saw Pulley playing live. In the beginning I didn't really like their music, but love must grow and you must be patient. Pulley debuted with 'Esteem Driven Engine' in 1996. One year later they came up with '60 Cycle Hum' which was followed by the self-titled 'Pulley' in 1999. I have to say all these albums kick butt. Now time has come to enlarge your collection with 'Together Again For The First Time'. A pretty odd title for a great album. 13 Real cool skate-punk songs are blasting through the speakers. Since all these years they really have improved their sound. It's getting close to the more commercial skate-punk bands like Lagwagon and No Use For A Name but is still recognizable as Pulley. 'In Search', the first song of the album, sounds a bit like the songs of their previous album '60 Cycle Hum'. This one is followed by the song 'Hooray For Me'. Great title, great song. I like the words "Going to the grave with me this music still lives on". There is no way for skate music to die. All the songs sound a bit the same, but hell they're all cool. Except for 'Lost Trip' which is awesome. It differs from the other songs on the album because it's a bit slower and it has these cool lyrics shouted through the mic. The other songs are faster, more like what you are used to of a punk band. On 'Lost Trip' and most of the other songs Pulley used a extraordinary distortion sound which is pretty unusual for skate music. Probably one of the things which makes Pulley. There is only one bad thing to say about this album: it's too short. If you're a real skate-punk fan you'd better buy 'Together Again For The First Time' if you haven't got it already.
