You can say whatever you want about our southern neighbours, but they know how to make slamming music. Another release from a band from Belgium on a Belgium label. PN's new release 'Dreamwave Heroes' is....well I have been thinking for a long time about what it is, but it's just it. PN shows that they have control over their instruments and vocals. From slow guitar riffs to fast hardcore and vocals like (I really hate to make this comparison because I can't stand that band) Radiohead to some of the best screaming I have ever heard. 'Dreamwave Heroes' only counts 4 songs, which I can't understand. Why??? It starts with 'Feeding Off Fashion' that sounds a bit like Thursdays' album 'Full collapse'. The best part of this song is the change from the very soft emotional part to some heavy core after 2 minutes. It's not that the rest of the song is crappy, but I'll never forget the first time I heard it. I really dig that! They do the same in the other songs, but this one rules. The second and the third track on 'Dreamwave Heroes' are pretty similar to the first song. A real surprise is 'A Storm Called Life', the fourth, the best and unfortunately the last track of the album. This song gave me the thrills from head to toe. Masterpiece. Instead of an emotional foundation with some HC parts this one is built up of HC with some small pieces of emotion. Keep going on like this, dudes. The artwork of 'Dreamwave Heroes' is pretty cool but simple. You can't miss it in the stores when you're planning to buy it. Just straight to the point.
