Peter Kruder's Peace Orchestra released its stunning self-titled debut back
in 1999, and since then the only thing we heard from him was one of the
tracks on the double remix pack of Shining. Now Peace Orchestra is back. Or
is he?
Reset is actually the debut album, only re-rubbed. Following the original
track order, we hear a haunting bandonion version of The Man Part One by
nu-tangueros Gotan Project; a hypnotizing, broken-beat makeover of Meister
Petz by Beanfield; Brazilian flavours added to Domination by Raw Deal; a
synth-infested space version of Who Am I by Chateau Flight; a very funky
late night mix of Double Drums by DJ DSL; and jazzed-up, broken-beat mixes
by Trüby Trio, Kosma, Guillaume Boulard, Zero dB, Meitz, and Soul
Patrol. They all deliver the goods; there is something for the sofa surfers
and the booty shakers. But what we really want is a new Peace
Orchestra album!
