After releasing a few succesfull 12'' on the Italian label Schema Records bossanova maestro Nicola Conte put his best tracks together on this cd and added a few new tunes. If you ever heard his classic 'Bossa Per Due', a song that featured on many new jazz or lounge compilations, you know what to expect. Jazzy tunes, a retro sound, sensual women humming, a touch of psychedelica and a cinematic atmosphere. The music is very digestible, but at the same time the structure of the songs is so complex that you'll keep discovering new things in them. No less than twenty musicians participated on this one, so there's a lot to discover. There's a bit of jazz ('Jazz Pour Dadine'), a bit of samba ('The In Samba'), some oriental influences ('Missione A Bombay') and free jazz ('Trappola Mortale'), Conte masters it all. Thirteen quality tracks by a producer who knows his stuff. This is not only a must for Nicola Conte fans, but also for anyone who's into the jazzy side of modern music.
