From Hefty, the label that put out those great Bill Ding records some time ago, comes the most endearing little electronica record since Mr. Oizo's 'Flat Beat'. Naohiko Sugimoto (born in Chiba, Japan) actually managed to create minimalist electronica that Ç although it doesn't compromise - is open, fresh, friendly, organic, and actually very humorous. It's the kind of record Aphex Twin or Speedy J would make if they had something to smile about. Very relaxing, great for while cleaning up the house, opening up the windows, doing origami, or stepping out on a nice day in Spring.
