Modus Operandi | One Way Ride
Poorly produced industrial EP with potential.

"Wake up: time to die!" is the first line on Modus Operandi's One Way Ride EP. They're three guys from Brooklyn and scream in a Biohazard kinda way. Modus Operandi's songs relate to the darker side of society and city life. The music is clearly industrial, but most beats are a little more danceable than with most industrial records, and come a little closer to the rave synth than usual. Unfortunately, the production of One Way Ride is lacking, poor, Saul Colen's vox is not very interesting, and the guitars are a little too cliché. But I definitely see a potential for Modus Operandi if they overcome these problems and if they pick up the 2003 beat instead of the 1993 beat, because the basic structure of the songs (and of the lyrics) is not bad at all. But as of now: It is not time to wake up and die yet.
