Most probably, you're already well acquainted with at least one track on this album, the ubiquitous (and very catchy) "Get Your Freak On". "Miss E . So Addictive" is worth getting for this track alone (if you disagree, skip to the next review), but there's a bunch of other goodies here that are more than worth your while as well. Most of the tracks are up-tempo, which, for R&B, is a Good Thing. Even the ones that are not, however, tend to be acceptable, at least, with one exception, the hideously cheesy Disney-esque ballad Take Away. The other tracks feature more than enough musical wizardry (courtesy of Timbaland) to keep even the staunchest electronica heads happy for more than a fleeting instance. You'll find all the usual ingredients here: stop-and-start beats, jilted samples and clever nasal synthesizer loops that wouldn't be out of place on your average Rephlex-disk. Coupled with a distinct lack of that insidious candy-coated close harmony that spoils most average R&B albums, they make "Miss E . So Addictive" an album that's too good to leave to the Top 40 crowd.
