At the end of 2000 Santa Claus brought an unexpected, but very exciting release to my table with the presents. Finest country-pop comes to the house and delights with melodies that make my heart knock.
Dale Duncan, songwriter and frontman of Map of Wyoming, shows that there is still enough grass on the meadow of Americana. And authenticity and the lust for playing can fight stereotypes and cliches very successfully. The warm sound of this record seduces one to dream, and the whirring guitars change between passion and melancholy.
And all the keepers of the Grail with beards and cowboy boots who shout "betrayers!" or talk about the "pure school of country" simply didn't pay attention.
