This album almost disappeared under the radar of the end-of-the-year releases. And that would be a shame since rumors quickly spread through the Net that this was another Drexciya related project. Any doubts regarding the question of this being vintage Drexciya are laid aside within 10 seconds of the first track, those sounds, melodies and rhythms are just too characteristic to fool the fanatic. The overall feel of the album is one of pulling the different strands of the Drexciya sound together for a recapitulation in view of the new more digital orientated sound of the proper Drexciya album 'Harnessed the Storm'. So you'll find minimal electro tracks built for dance floor action (Beta Capsule), whimsical Dopplereffekt fun (Cigarette Lighter), beat less abstraction (Enter Mrs. Suzuki) and as the album progresses that lighter almost friendly tone that characterized the Other People Place album. Due to the consolidation of sound it really doesn't form a essential release compared to for instance the Dopplereffekt compilation, although Drexciya myrmidons and hardcore electro followers won't find many faults here and should investigate for the swinging 'Virtual Origami' alone, a track so good it's included twice. Also features some cool pervy Japanese artwork.
