Regardless of what their fellow Scandinavian metal bands have been doing the last ten years, Insision comes up with an uncompromising, old-fashioned death metal statement. This brutal style of metal has never been away completely, but it is only once in a while that a pure and enduring band like Insision surfaces. Beneath The Folds Of Flesh doesn't bring anything we've never heard before; in fact, you can walk into a metal caf at any time and find some local antichrist headbangers going nuts over music like this. All the ingredients of Satan's soup are here: grunts straight from the bowels of the beast, extensive double bass patterns, blastbeats (tight), and epileptic guitar riffs. Foul and huge. Opening track World Impaled has a touch of Morbid Angel to it; after that it's just a straightforward, wild ride without detours or exits. An honest piece of relentless work.
