Sweeter Than the Radio... Well, that ain't a hard thing to achieve when all you hear is Lit, Kid Rock and Offspring blasting through your speakers. 'Can anyone be hypnotized' they ask on the first song. Indeed so. When I pushed the play-button, a wave of harmonies and melodies whirled threw my living room. Hearing the lyrics and hooks, I was immediately reminded of Crowded House. Which is not bad thing in my book. Hearing songs like 'You could be reported' and 'Yellow and Blue' also brought back memories of listening to Elvis Costello's My Aim Is True. And how could I, being from Belgium, resist a song called 'Picture Disc from Benelux'? Not at all, I just had to surrender. The sound is just as simple and straightforward as the cover: a three piece band from Australia who with the help of You Am I-producer Wayne Connolly managed to lick off my fingers. Or would that be ears? Ah who cares, it's a radiationvibe I am grooving on...
