All the way from Atlanta US of A I like to present you Hunter-Gatherer. These four used to be gasstationworkers bearded guys really make some good noize. They like to call it rock but it sounds more emo to me with some punk influences. After their Hunter-Gatherer & Rydell split cd they released their full new album just a few weeks ago. This album entitled 'Low Standards For High Fives' does hit the surface. At first site it sounds a bit easy going but after a while they break the barrier. Most of the songs start with an emotional voice created by Brian, one of the lead singers. After that the tremulous voice of Chris is introduced which gives all tracks another point of view. That's one of the things I really appreciate about HG. These two guys, also playing guitar, are very good supported by two other ones. Bass player Jason and Matt on drums are doing hell of a job during all 10 songs on this album. One of the best tracks present on the album is 'Spelling Out'. Next to that 'Glory Of The Flames' and 'Ex-Almost Sacred'. With an enormous combination of instruments and co-operation these guys are definitely gonna make HG a band which is going to break through. They finally hit Europe to promote themselves. And I'm sure they could need a helping hand, so buy 'Low Standards For High Fives'. It's really worth your collection.
