I recently did an interview with the band Waterdown and I noticed that one of the vocalists had a strange looking tattoo on his arm. I asked him what the tattoo meant. He said that it was the logo of the band Hot Water Music. He told me that they were really big in the Emo-scene. To be honest, I never heard of them because I ain't no Emo-enthousiast. I expected a lot of whining about personal feelings and stuff like that. So you could say I was really sceptic when I played this CD for the first time. But when I heared the first guitar tones coming out of my speakers, I was kinda surprised. This wasn't the Emo-stuff I expected! This sounded a lot like Foo Fighters, especially the first couple of songs. But later on this CD gets boring. I think it has something to do with the fact that the later songs are a bit slower and less heavier. Well, since I ain't no Emo-expert it is really hard to write something useful about this. I am not familiar with the previous work of this band, but I hear from a lot of people that this CD sounds really different compared to their previous recordings. But if you like Foo Fighters, you ought to give this band a chance.
