F.R.E.U.D. | 2 Yello Balloons
Promising demo of Dutch nu-metal band.

As often with demo CD's, the production and sound can be better. In the case of Dutch nu-metallers F.R.E.U.D. it's above all the drums that sound rather muffled. But the rest (vocals, bass, guitars) does sound rather good I must admit. This demo CD makes clear that F.R.E.U.D. is good in writing nice melodies. Although there are only four songs on it, the choruses will stay in your head immediately. Especially songs like 'Lies' and 'Alone' are worth mentioning. It's not the type of thing that has been done millions of times before by other bands. Still, however, there's a lot of work to be done by these enthusiastic guys, like making their music more complex and interesting. But hey, they're young, so anything can happen in the future.
