At last there's a Dutch answer to American bands like Korn! Six-piece band Dreadlock Pussy from Roermond in the South of the Netherlands has just released its debut-album 'Sharp Instead'. On this album Dreadlock Pussy are making clear that, although influenced by bands such as the mighty Korn, they're definitely NOT "just a Korn-clone" and that you should watch out for them! Dreadlock Pussy have their own way of dealing with music, creating their own sound full of grooves and scratches, although their influences are obvious. If you are into bands such as Korn and Pleymo then check this out! Vocalist Pat turns out to be the perfect singer for this music, alternating his voice from clear singing to screaming. Turntablist DJ Lombok makes the sound complete; he's adding some extra elements to Dreadlock Pussy's intense music. Songs as 'Choke', 'Altamira' (Hijo de Puta!) and 'Blue' have very good compositions and will certainly make the crowd go crazy when performing live.
So, it's more than logical that this band once acted as a replacement for the cancelled Amen as a support act for Machinehead! This is an export-product the Netherlands can be proud of!
