Dj Morpheus is mostly known as the compiler for the widely acclaimed 'Freezone' series on SSR. While those double cd's focus on the latest downtempo electronic music, Morpheus now takes a wider perspective and grants us a peek in his flight case. If you think the music on the Freezone compilations is hard to categorize, then try this one. This album offers everything from tech-house over Afro to breakbeats, electronic funk and even an occasional touch of bossa nova. The only constants are the fact that every track has indefinable and warming soul and that most of the artists are completely unknown, except for Layo & Bushwacka!, Thomas Brinkmanns alter ego Soulcenter (with the smash tune 'J.B.') and mistah Horace Andy (together with the Raggae Disco Rockers). You won't find a bad track on this one. In fact, I'm not even gonna try to sum up the highlights, 'cause this in an album you'll play from front till back and all over again. An absolute must for everyone who's looking for something 'different'.
