Transatlantic Audio is a collection of tracks chosen by twelve renowned deejays and producers to prove that the jazz-scene is still alive and kicking in their own country. Or get the listener dancing across the globe. Either way the result is a record which contains tracks by Parisian techno-producer I:Cube, Japanese based acid-jazz United Future Organisation and also Stellar from Italy. Highlights include Dzihan & Kamien from Vienna, Belgian Buscemi, aka Dirk Swartenbroeckx, with his dreamy track The Salon Section (just check those delightful strings and piano) and from Finland Deep Sensual Ensemble with its conversation between two (fictional?) actors over a layer of delicious Arabian strings. Twelve tracks by famous and upcoming bands tied together by one genre, jazz. It ends with Earl Zinger describing the Saturday Morning Rush, running against the clock trying to get those obscure records. Wicked.
