I like my punkrock aggressive, loud and played balls-out fast as hell (don't we all?). And that's exactly the thing Outsider bands bring. This time they brought together Hudson Falcons, The Authority, The Trends and Callaghan. I like The Authority a lot and Hudson Falcons are my favourite band so you know I love this record, but I will try to explain to all you ignorant fools why I like this crap. First up The Authority kicks everyone's ass with excellent 6 songs. I especially like the first and the sixth one. Up next is Callaghan of which to my shame I'd never heard. They're pretty good and I like the song 'Much Rather Be With The Boys' a lot (even though the title is pretty gay). The Hudson Falcons are next and they play a couple of songs I didn't have yet! The booklet says the song 'Fallen Heroes' (from the new record) should be on it but it's not there. They do play a couple of songs from their first record and also a brilliant Chuck Berry-song. Last but not least are The Trends who are also pretty good. They have this kinda English-type vocals which I like a lot, although I like the accent of Callaghan a little better, but they're both good singers. The Trends and Callaghan are not as fast as I thought they would be, but in their case that's not such a bad thing. By the way, the full title is American Fight Club No.1. This may mean that there are gonna be a couple more in the future and if they all sound as good as this one they can make a hundred more for all I care! So I'll wrap up this review with the words of the Hudson Falcons' coversong 'Little Queenie': "some good ol' rock 'n roll for ya, that's what all this shit's about".
