Dilinja & Lemon D | Static / Rupture

Well, this one was released quite a while ago but I only recently picked it up in my local record shop. The Test label is run by Dillinja and Lemon D and this illustrious duo teams up once again to bring you the best of breakbeats. Star of the show is 'Static', a track that has Dillinja written all over it: dark intro, that typical drop of the beat and furious drumpatterns all the way. Dillinja is a self-confessed bass addict (who occasionally gets thrown out of clubs for wrecking the sound system) and it shows in the growling bassline, that morphs into a rolling loop the second time around. Absolutely terrific. The flipside, 'Rupture' uses a more friendly approach to nest itself into your head, but it's a corker of a track just as well. Buy this record on sight.
