A bright future lies ahead for Paris' Q-Tape, when the third release continues on the same inspired paths as its predecessor. Frontline itself comes in three versions. One goes all breaks, bossa and Wurlitzer on our enchanted ears, one is drenched in Moodymann-style tribal soul-chaos and the tasty beats are included too. But there is more. The dreamy Bermeo is melancholic jazz-electro with Jazzanova undertones. But it is Patchworks' stupefying remix of Kool Bavaria that is the real topper. Here exciting jazz rhythms willingly get paired to sax, Fender Rhodes, double bass and a husky female whispering wise words about that old devil called love. All of which make this another crucial release from Q-Tape.
