Carl Cox, one of the world's most renowned DJs, has secreted a 4-track EP.
He made up some little things on the road during those moments when he had
nothing else on his hands. And now he wants to share them with us. What we
actually get is four primitively banging, cliché-laden, badly produced, bland tracks. Only possible conclusion: He
should have kept them in his
laptop. It is unidirectional noise slabs like these, devoid of any vision or
direction, that have given techno a bad name in the past. And frankly, it is
a mystery why the trusted Trust The Dj Records would want to put out
underachieving electronics like this. A very poor display from someone who
is purportedly held in high esteem.
