Bougie Soliterre is Bettina Costanzo, once a resident DJ at Amsterdam's New Dance Radio, and since then a successful DJ/producer and label boss (Flipside Records) in London. ‘Besides You’ is an all-time favorite of Compost's head honcho, Michael Reinboth, and it was decided that the track be re-released along with two brand new remixes by Tiefschwarz, who beef the track up inna kindadisco-house style, and Compost's own Wordless People, who deliver a deliciously jazzed-up house version. The original is featured here as well: a stomping, funky house thang with Stevie Wonder-meets-Prince-ish vocals. Very nice indeed.
