Holed up in Glasgow's Cava Studios, Astrid are currently working on their second full-length with producer Tony Doogan (he of Belle and Sebastian and Delgados fame). If 'Modes of Transport' is anything to go by, the follow-up to 'Strange Weather Lately' looks set to be one corker of a record. Northern Scotland's finest give us four spanking new songs (not to be repeated on the upcoming long-player) full of summery vibes and feel-good, yet smart and crafty pop. The music makes a bold statement, all the while keeping that quaint and quite lovely indie folksy lilt. Magic.
