454, from Sweden, started making music in 1997. Their first release was 'Free Ticket To The Rumble', in 1999, on their own label Groupsounds. Right after the release of that double seven inch they did quite a lot of gigs in Uppsala, their home-base, and Stockholm. And in August this year they released 'Maybe Legendary', also on their own label Groupsounds. This album contains 7 songs, most of the time up-tempo stonerrock, occasionally even straight through rock 'n roll (nice detail: a few songs contain that typical piano). So it all doesn't sound very psychedelic, just a few songs got some passages in it, but that's no problem at all. You could say 454 is inspired by Kyuss, but influences of Scandinavion rock 'n roll bands like The Hellacopters are more obvious. 454 has got the rock 'n roll spirit! 'Maybe Legendary' is available on twelve inch vinyl. A nice piece of stonerrock-music.
