Years back the Dutch alternative club Effenaar based in Eindhoven had some kinda party. I am not sure what it was. It was transmitted live on national radio though. The only thing I really remember is the music that came with a fashion show. Pulsating, psychedelic, weird music. A mixture of Spacemen 3, Loop and Joy Division. The band was Loose. Or 35007 if you prefer. Just turn the number upsidedown. This band Loose, eh 35007, influenced changing the whole direction of the band I was playing guitar with at that time. We did split up a few month later. My fascination with 35007 never ended. This weird psychedelic quartet from Eindhoven made two brilliant records, did some very good live performances but never got any fame. Maybe playing their first important gig at a fashion show wasn’t that good after all. Anyway. Liquid is their third album. Mixed and mastered by Pieter Kloos (also worked with Motorpsycho) and with some help of Rene van Barneveld (ex Urban Dance Squad). Liquid is an instrumental album. An album dedicated to water. And album with four pieces of music. Brilliant pieces of music. Long tracks with steady drums and bass, changing guitar and synth patterns. Lightly psychedelic, building up to a climax with grumbling guitars and tons of feedback. Leaving the listener behind in silence. Dazzled, confused. But ready for more. Just take a second dive. Hit play again.
