Whatever happened to that dirty-ass rock 'n' roll, huh? For just a second or two, it was right there in Rotterdam, but it could have been much better. To sum it all up and keep this review short, Swearing At Motorists' late Tuesday night rock 'n' show show didn't work well in front of less than 30 people. Singer/guitarist Dave Doughman and drummer Don Thrasher are definitely good performers worth seeing, Dave Doughman jumped onto Rotown's low stage as if Swearing At Motorists was headlining Madison Square Garden.
I guess that they just want to rock really hard and really loud, but it was too bad for them that most people didn't feel very much like joining the Swearing At Motorists' sex, drugs, and rock 'n' spirit on that rainy, Tuesday night. The best thing to do was to continue with an acoustic set, but that did not happen. Unfortunately, because while they were going through the whole sound check routine, Doughman's solo version of Willie Nelson's 'Time of the Preacher' worked much better than the whole rock 'n' roll show of Swearing At Motorists.
