Decaer Pinga

Losing the Prick Decay name (people just patted Dylan too much on his back assuring *it* would surely return one day), they decided to go through life as Decaer Pinga. You raise an eyebrow? You do not know this band from Scotland?!? Time to catch up and learn all about Decaer Pinga.

For anyone not familiar with the kind of noizzzz you emit, can you explain to these souls what kind of music you play?
"Dora Doll: Shit that no-one likes, or cares about.
Dylan Nyoukis: sweet amber impulse tunes, I guess the spaniards would call it something like torpe habil trueno. It is way more about noises than noise, I don't think our necks are thick enough to hold a noise medallion, try my old boyfriend Joe Roemer, he would be happy to show you his medals."

What's up (or down) with Chocolate Monk? You released a Harry Pussy single!
"Dora: that's correct!!!! Most of the sound on the 7 inch is Adris sucking on my rose bud. We've kind of stopped releasing tapes cos they're such hard work, and are trying to get over the anti-CD thing.
Dylan: The Harry Pussy split single with spaceneedle cadets Noggin, was their first forte in Beefheart country, a kind of weird Miami flavour that tip in the direction of dance culture, just check out the track 'lost my E'. Like disco bitch just said, we are kind of off the tapes for the foreseeable future, most recent releases are on the soon to be hated cd-r format, firstly a collaboration between us (decaer pinga) and Swiss chimp engine Runzelstirn/gurgelstock called "omitting the troll", actually a double whammy that consists of our own national takes on Thai boxing music, a sort of diplomatic bar brawl if you will. Next is the long awaited Decaer Pinga hand hold with the old uncle of the UK free slap combo A band, Neil Campbell, it is called 'strobelights to boston' and is a fine example of the Scottish cave paintings in aural format. Finally two newies by sepoPeplel and S*T*A*R. SepoPeplel are a couple of great minds who concentrate on what they call "viking soul music", they create a lot of spittle and their cd is worth checking out in the raw, it is called "coal orf". S*T*A*R is the one legged raymond scott-esque project of superball pin-up and one time Japanese female little league top hitter (Osaka 1988) Naomi Shimada, the sounds are basically the taste of a pcp laced cocktail, rockin. Next up is the long awaited 3rd instalment in the Cadenza Freedom 7" series by Bill Orcutt (harry Pussy on four stringed dobro, parts one and two where recordings on Burmese military mandolin by alvarius b and toy walkie talkie by Bruce Russell)."

Not only Harry Pussy's gone, so is Prick Decay. What happened?
"Dora: We just changed the name, because Prick Decay is from the rad fem pre dyke, hate dick phase and now we're not.
Dylan: Yeah this is true, we just wear a sharper suit these days, Decaer Pinga may look more spangely but the odour is remarkably the same."

Chocolate Monk not only produces records, you only make booklets and T-shirts. What can we expect to read in your RadioLungs?
"Dora: Junk and some pictures, OK, you love it.
Dylan: RadioLungs is an ongoing series of xerox rags that are basically the mental shittings of freaks and genius. The first three issues where by myself, Karen Lollipop (smack music 7) and some child art I found in the street, also out there and available at a cost are my rag "Kung Music" (volume one and two) and Karens "asthma Eyes", there is more coming, currently in negotiations with old Croat Coley for his collection of San Francisco pictures of him, Savage Pencil and the lady Babara Manning in Bunny suits."

Uh, what is Chocolate Monk actually?
Dora: a label.
Dylan: Our outlet for pirate ships, a way to take money from all you brown shirts."

Can you tell me more about Decaer Pinga? How's it different from Prick Decay?
"Dora: it's newer and more advanced, kind of 90s rather than that 80s sound of PD, we just like to work a bit behind the times.
Dylan: Like I said, the clothes have changed, but the sewing is just a continuation. I don't really think there was ever a set PD sound anyway."

Have you done any performances lately?
"Dora: only in my panties.
Dylan: Played a mini tour of the east coast of the stinking republic in May, played a few shows in New York city, Philadelphia, new jersey and Rochester. Had the pleasure of doing our swing step with William Winant, Arthur Doyle, Sabir Mateen, Sonic Youth, Coffee, Jackie o motherfucker, Tom Surgal, Idea Fire Company, K Salvatore, Moses, Golden Calves and others. As well as rubbing bubbleheads with them wizard wegros The No Necks Blues Band. Also played a show in Edinburgh with the Enid Blyton of pop Genesis P-Orridge, a forty minute greasy drone with the sepoPeplel posse. It was a true pleasure to make a roomful of goths truly miserable."
